Powder metallurgy compact of the composition Fe-C-Cu were prepared by compacting, sintering and steam treatment. Studies on surface morphology through Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) equipped with Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS), micro hardness by Vickers method and wear by pin-on-disk method for the steam treated specimen were reported. Characterization studies were done by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope, Energy Dispersive Spectrometer and X-Ray
