Self compacting concrete technology had been developed in the 1990's in Japan. This new technology was introduced to other developed countries positively. However there have been and still will be some difficulties for the acceptance of this new technology to the developing country. The purpose of this paper is to discuss these difficulties which are caused by the differences of standards, materials and costs.
