Alzheimer's disease (AD) is one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases and its prevalence is closely related to aging, and also the most common cause of dementia. AD is clinically characterized by cognitive deficits and behavioral disorders like language disorders, memory loss, agitation and depression. AD is pathologically characterized by senile plaques (SPs) composed of β-amyloid (Aβ), neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) caused by hyperphosphorylated Tau proteins, and neuronal loss. AD

In this paper, we review the role of Aβ-induced oxidative stress, neuroinflammation and neuronal apoptosis in AD pathology, aiming to provide new ideas for the development of new therapeutic drugs against AD.
