This paper is focusing on a work called Gamelbati–Mediasi Ukiran III for gamelan and chamber orchestra by Tazul Tajuddin, one of the Malaysian leading composer and pioneer in Malaysian art-music, combining local Malaysian elements and Western contemporary classical ideals.
