Dengue en los inicios de la pandemia de COVID-19 en la Argentina

Eleven years after the first dengue outbreak in Buenos Aires, on March 20, 2020, while the mandatory quarantine for COVID-19 began dengue became the most common cause of fever consultation. The new wave of dengue cases was already among the predictions of the Pan American Health Organization based on the increase in the region of the Americas that had been occurring since the previous year. The overlapping of infections with epidemic potential such as dengue recalls the importance of not neglecting other endemic, emerging and re-emerging diseases in the shadow of the new epidemiological phenomenon.
