Seyed Mahdi Mazhari (S'12) received the B.S. (Hons.) degree in electrical engineering from the University of Birjand, Birjand, Iran, in 2010 and the M.S. (Hons.) degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, 2012. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree at Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran. Hassan Monsef received the B.has been with the University College of Engineering, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Tehran, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research interests are power system operation under deregulation, reliability of power system, electric power quality, and power system protection. Rubén Romero (M'93-SM'08) received the B.Sc. and P.E. degrees from the National University of Engineering, Lima, Perú, in 1978 and 1984, respec-tively, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Campinas, Brazil, in 1990 and 1993, respectively. He is currently a Professor of electrical engineering with the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Julio de Mesquita Filho," Ilha Solteira, Brazil. His research interests include methodologies for the optimization, planning, and control of electrical power systems; applications of artificial intelligence in power system; and operations research.
