Cracking behaviors of reinforced concrete beams induced by expansion corrosion products around corroded longitudinal bar was investigated using accelerated corrosion tests and finite element analysis. The effect of confinement by means of transverse bars was evaluated using bond-slip interaction between bar and concrete.
