Two young brother male free-ranging domestic shorthair cats were evaluated for diarrhea. They presented with intraerythrocytic piroplasms on blood smear evaluation. Only the first cat was anemic (mild non-regenerative anemia). Sadece ilk kedi anemikti (hafif, rejeneratif olmayan anemi).18S rRNA'nın kısmi bir segmenti amplifiye edildi ve sekanslandı, Cytauxzoon sp. ile %99 ve Cytauxzoon felis ile %93'lük bir homoloji gösterdi.
