Resumen: En este trabajo se explorará la posible continuidad entre Ortega y Gasset y Nicol en cuanto a sus aportaciones a una teoría de la cultura de raíces fenomenológicas y vitalistas. Abstract: This paper will explore the possible continuity between Ortega and Nicol in terms of their contributions to a theory of culture with phenomenological and vitalist roots. It seems that Ortega has developed a remarkable theory of culture and it is possible that Nicol can also offer to us complementary contributions to it, especially referring to its metaphysical bases. For this purpose, different aspects of Nicol´s anthropology and metaphysics will be analyzed focusing on human creative vocation, his historical being and the expression.
