Tensile deformation behavior and its dependence on the strain rate of Mg-3.5%Li alloy

The tensile tests were carried out with Mg-3.5%Li alloy in the strain rate from 0.05mm/min to 50mm/min. The influence of strain rate on tensile properties and deformation behaviors of the alloy was investigated. It is shown that the ductility instability during the tensile deformation occurred at the tensile rate of 0.5mm/min and 5mm/min.
