In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, Germany, hereafter referred to as the EMS, received an application from BASF SE to modify the existing maximum residue level (MRL) for the active substance ametoctradin in hops. ... ed to the European Commission and forwarded to EFSA. According to EFSA the data are sufficient to derive an MRL of 100 mg/kg for the proposed use on hops. However, EFSA is of the opinion that the analytical method is not fully validated for dried hops and therefore, additional data have to be provided to confirm that the proposed analytical method is suitable to enforce ametoctradin residues in dried hops. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concludes that the proposed use of ametoctradin on hops will not result in a consumer exposure exceeding the toxicological reference value and therefore is unlikely to pose a consumer health risk.
