The following species previously assigned to Sesarma are assigned to this new genus: benedicti, ricordi, americanum, roberti, angustipes, miersii, angustum, occidentale, gorei, and magdalenense from the Americas and elegans from the eastern Atlantic. All American species are illustrated, and keys for their identification are provided.
