Power Generation Characteristics of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells for Coal Gas
2001
ECS Proceedings Volumes
Power generation characteristics of tubular-type solid oxide fuel cells were studied for simulated coal gas, consisting mainly of CO, H2, H2O, and a carrier gas. Current-voltage characteristics of a single cell were measured as a function of various operational parameters including the EL-to-CO ratio, the type of carrier gas such as He, N2, and Ar, temperature, the fuel-to-carrier gas ratio, and water vapor concentration. It has been experimentally confirmed that the use of CO-rich fuel gas
