Due to mining activities a great loss of vegetation including medicinal plants is inevitable. Northern coal field areas Jayanth coal Block of NCL had been selected for the present investigation. The selected sites are divided into two zones i.e. core zone (mining lease area) and buffer zone (10km radius from mining lease area).
