The paper is concerned on the production of magnesium alloy strips by Twin-Roll-Casting and their subsequent hot rolling to a final thickness of ≥ 1 mm. In this connection, specific characteristics of magnesium and of the used alloys are discussed. Subsequently, the deformation behavior and the possibilities to its increase are introduced.
