In the context of smart cities, the information of businesses licenses has the potential to discriminate economics characteristics of the observed urban environment. This work performs an initial analysis on business activity clustering using the k-means algorithm with data from the granting of business licenses (from 1980 to 2016) in the city of Curitiba -Brazil.
