This paper deals with the design of a transparent pavilion (museum) made of structural glass. The fundamental concepts of structural glass are described and its application in public buildings. The work is focused on the seismic analysis of the glass structural members in regions with high seismicity. Particularly in these regions the basic principles of seismic isolation are taken into account and applied in the model building in order to avoid brittle failures. Analytical results show that
