News shape public perception of events. The amount and frequency with which publishers release articles continues to increase. News recommender systems are tools designated to support readers in finding the most relevant articles. These systems struggle with challenging conditions. Readers refuse to express their interests explicitly, and publishers cannot reliably track them to infer their preferences.
