Strong Absorption model for the studying of Pion-Nuclei Elastic Scattering

The angular distribution of pions, elastically scattered from a number of nuclei between 6 Li and 118 Sn are studied in terms of the strong absorption model of using the three parameters version of this model .We find that a reasonably good description to the angular distribution of experimental elastic scattering data is possible. The best fit parameters of the model are the cut-off angular momentum Λ, the rounding parameter and the real nuclear phase shift µ.
