In a transversely excited (TE) electric discharge laser (CO EDL) with subsonic flow, fundamental laser characteristics have been theoretically examined by numerically solving the Boltzmann equation and rate equations. The effects of a gas flow are also taken into account in this model. The conditions for the calculations are based on the experimental data which were obtained at the small-scale laser facility.
