of Philadelphia, has invented a new machine for ,cutting" hand rails," and other irregular forms. There are two peculiar cutters set upon the upper ends of two vertical spindles, which are placed op posite to one another, with a space between them, for the rough piece of wood to be fed in. These cutters are of such a form-almost bell-shaped-as to cut the r.ugh piece to the form of rail required.
