artigo revista caititu, Salvador, n. 1, p. 73-88, set. 2013. What is the main conclusion of the work? Indicators planned to evaluate structural parameters of the vegetation (e.g., tree growth) are not able to infer about ecosystem self maintenance. Therefore, indication of functionality of the system (e.g., biological flows; seedling recruitment), of certain changes in community composition (e.g., appearance of new life forms and taxa), and of socioeconomic changes (e.g., adherence by landowner; income generation) should be used.
