The author points out the need to adapt the physiognomy of criminal proceedings to the changes in the scope and structure of crime and to characteristics of facts and evidence. The specific substantive features of cases may also be used as a basis of procedural differentiation. One such criterion is the special nature (kind) of crime, as illustrated on the example of commercial crime.
