Aim-Buchholzia coriacea had been claimed to have medicinal properties. It has been used by the locals, in Idemili area of Anambra State, Nigeria to manage "wounds and running stomach". This study is therefore aimed at determining this claim which will also serve as criteria to recommend the ethanopharmacological use of the plant. The rootbark of Buchholzia coriacea was dried, powdered and extracted by cold maceration with diethylether for 48hrs, it was concentrated using rotary evaporator. The
