Analysis of Logistics Based on DNA Computing

Location selection for distribution centers (DCs) is one ofthe most important decision issues that logistic managers concern with. The optiinal or suitable location gives an infiuencing impaet on company profits. This paper proposes a molecular algorithm t,o eficiently identify Lhe optimal Iocation of the DCs. The optimal selection ef the DCs is a combination of two main problems that are to seLect the most economical DCs and to figure out which of }ocal cities will connect to which of DCs with
more » ... the Ieast cost, respectively. These two problems can be classified int,o an NP problem. DNA computing can eMcient,Iy solve t,hese two problems in super parallel cornputation. Finally, we discuss the result obtained in finding the rnost suitable Location of DCs as a solution.
