Surface Patterning Of Cochlear Implant Electrode Arrays
2013
Biomedical Engineering
Optimization of the electrode nerve interface of cochlear implants is a prerequisite for a more specific and predictable electrical stimulation of the hearing nerve. As cells strongly interact with surface topographies, micro-and nano-patterns on cochlear implant materials were tested in vitro and transferred to active electrode arrays for in vivo tests.
