Implementation and Experiment of an Algorithm for Tourism Route Construction considering Tourist Preference

In this study, we formulate the attractiveness of tourist spots according to the tastes of tourists and numerically calculate them. When tourists visit a sightseeing spot, their preferences and the attractiveness of the spot play an important role in determining how to make a satisfactory tour within a limited time frame. In this study, we formulate the attractiveness of sightseeing spots based on tourists' preferences, and propose an algorithm for constructing a sightseeing route that takes tourists' travel time into account. Next, we implement the proposed algorithm in the tourism support system [1], and visualize the tourism route configured by this algorithm on the map screen using the Google Maps API function. Finally, as part of the industry-academia-government collaboration project with Sakai City, we conduct verification experiments in Sakai City to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
