The design of this study is correlational design since the relationship between dependent and independent variables were investigated through correlation coefficient. The participants were females in the final year of the secondary education level. Using treatment and the two questionnaires of motivational strategies and multiple intelligences, the findings demonstrated significant correlation between verbal/linguistic intelligence and reading ability as well as the significant correlation between implementing certain motivational strategies and reading ability. In addition, the essence of teaching motivational strategies was confirmed through the significant difference between the results of pretest and posttest as the result of teaching the participants certain motivational strategies by the researchers. The findings have pedagogical implications for language teachers to improve the reading ability of the students substantially.
