Low energy e+e−→e+e−π0 as a probe of chiral perturbation theory

We analyze the reaction e+e -~e+e-~° at low energies. By selecting the acceptance region for the energies and angles of the two leptons, one obtains a prediction where the relevance of the one loop correction to the tree level result can be modulated. This process is a good candidate to study the region of validity of chiral perturbation theory and the resonance models which have been proposed to merge the perturbative with the resonance dominated behaviour.
