The critical raw materials are defined by the European commission as materials having high importance for the EU economy and/or high supply risk. Some of those materials are used in nuclear power plants. The characterization of construction materials that contain critical raw materials and in the same time have importance for nuclear safety and long-term operation, is a vital part of the raw materials related research.
