more » ... to evaluate perceptions of pre-services history teachers about multiculturalism and patriotism. The research scope was consisted of 210 graduated students had pedagogical formation subjects in 2015-2016 years at Gaziosmanpaşa, Marmara and Giresun University. Survey method was used in this study. The Multiculturalism Attitude Scale and Patriotism Scale, developed by Yazıcı (2013) were used. In analyzing date, Anova, t-test, arithmetic mean and standard deviation were used. The average score of the responses given to Multiculturalism Attitude Scale was calculated to be 3,62. Attitudes towards multiculturalism didn't differ significantly in terms of gender and university they study at while the attitudes towards multiculturalism of teacher candidates from different cultural/ethnic groups differed positively and significantly in terms of cultural/ethnic group variable. Also, attitudes towards multiculturalism of teacher candidates increased as the number of the friends from different cultures they had increased. History teacher candidates who participated in the study obtained such a high score as 4,49 to the Patriotism Scale, developed according to 5 point likert type. While the patriotism attitudes didn't differ in terms of gender, it differed in terms of university they study at.
