The synchronization accuracy between laser systems and RF wave is a crucial ingredient for the successful operation of any particle accelerator based on photo-emission. In the case of ultra-short highly charged electron accelerator, the beam is highly sensitive to timing jitter. Thus, a high level of synchronization accuracy is needed.
