A hyperdimensional transposition method applied to heat conduction in complex media

The heat conduction equation is solved in complex media by extending the number of spatial dimensions by one. Complex surfaces in physical space can be represented as level surfaces of simpler higher dimensional hypersurfaces. The differential equation governing the heat conduction problem is solved numerically in the hyperspace and the resulting solution is interpolated onto the physical space. Examples are computed for a number of heat conduction problems.
