Application and effects of blended learning in public courses in the university

The research focuses on the mode and factors of blended learning in a public course in a university. In this research, we design the course of blended learning and apply it to university students, and we analyse the result of the application through a questionnaire, interviews and other methods. Biographical notes: Jihong Xu has experience of over 16 years in facilitating teaching and learning model reform in her personal and professional development. Committed to education reform, she focuses her doctoral work on faculty development and the structural mode of their teaching capacity. Her current work has shifted to the research on MOOCs and flipped classroom. She devotes herself to the study of faculty development and the advocacy of blended learning to promote the teaching reform and improve the quality of higher education in China. Yue Zhou has an experience of over 21 years in facilitating teaching and learning model reform in his personal and professional development. Committed to education reform, he focuses his doctoral work on Cyber course Construction Projects in Colleges and Universities. His current work has shifted to the research on SPOCs and flipped classroom. He has devoted himself to the study of Cyber course Construction and the advocacy of blended learning to promote the teaching reform and improve the quality of higher education in China.
