Malaria caused by Plasmodium vivax is usually an uncomplicated disease that runs a benign course and is rarely fatal. Here we report a case of vivax malaria in a 45 year old female, who had sudden cardiac death probably due to myocardial ischmeia and long QT interval. In literature search this is probably the first case report wherein sudden cardiac death is reported in patient with vivax malaria.
