A methodology for the use of modelling in designing a wastewater land treatment scheme is presented. This uses analytical models to determine the depth and spacing of the drippers. From the dripper spacing and the wastewater volume the number of drippers, the area to be irrigated can be calculated an d a provisional design developed.
