The aim of this study is to define learning needs and level of mindfulness in patients that underwent thoracic surgery. Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 100 patients, who underwent thoracic surgery at the thoracic surgery clinic of a university hospital between December 2014 and May 2016. Data collection form consisted of three parts, namely Sociodemographic Data Form, Patient Learning Needs Scale (PLNS) and Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS). Results: The
