Volume 4: Manufacturing Materials and Metallurgy; Ceramics; Structures and Dynamics; Controls, Diagnostics and Instrumentation; Education; IGTI Scholar Award
unpublished
Alumo-boron-nitride-based heat-resistant, thennostable, shrinkage-free structural ceramic material was developed and manufactured by vacuum-compression impregnation technology. Actually, all the high-temperature path parts for 2.5 MW gasturbine engine were made of this ceramic material [I]. The results of the granulometric, rnicrostructural, phase and other characterization into the material are presented. New conditions of interaction between the boron nitride and aluminium were identified.
