MegaForm is a recording system for Neolithic megaliths in northern Central Europe and southern Scandinavia. It was created in the context of the Priority Program 1400 "Early Monumentality and Social Differentiation". Zusammenfassung MegaForm ist ein Aufnahmesystem für neolithische Megalithgrä-ber Nordmitteleuropas und Südskandinaviens, das im Rahmen des Schwerpunktprogramms 1400 "Frühe Monumentalität und Sozi-ale Differenzierung" entwickelt wurde. Es dient der formalisierten Ansprache von Architekturmerkmalen nicht nur von Megalithgrä-bern, sondern auch nichtmegalithischen monumentalen Gräbern und einfacheren Grabanlagen. Grundlage ist eine Klassifikation von Einzelmerkmalen der Architektur, die die verschiedenen, aus den je-weiligen nationalen Forschungstraditionen erwachsenen Terminolo-gien zusammenführt und einen einheitlichen Standard zu etablieren sucht. Hier wird dieses Formalisierungssystem vorgestellt, erläutert und ein dazu passendes Datenbanksystem zum Download bereitge-stellt.
