Resumo: O artigo busca identificar e analisar produções artísticas brasileiras e argentinas de caráter efêmero, desde a década de sessenta até os anos oitenta. Entende-se como obra efêmeraa produções transitórias e temporárias, tais como performances, happenings, instala-ções e trabalhos artísticos cuja temporalidade depende da resistência material do objeto. Abstract: The article seeks to identify and analyze Brazilian and Argentinean artistic productions of ephemeral character, from the sixties until the eighties. Transitory and temporary productions , such as performances, happenings, installations and artistic works, whose temporality depends on the material resistance of the object, are understood as 'ephemeral works'. Unlike painting and classical sculpture, where the medium is perennial, and therefore perpetuates in space-time. From the study of the images, it is proposed to investigate the ruptures, limits and tensions of the art works produced during the military dictatorship in Brazil and Argentina, and to reflect on the symbolic character of the works that dialogue with the recent Latin American political and social context
