by counteracting inflammatory stasis and producing résorption of leucocytes which have migrated into the surrounding tissues. It also gives tonicity. The method is repugnant, but Nostrom invites criticism. Dr. Asp also gained good results in chronic catarrh of the uterus. Of seven cases four recovered, two improved, one remained unchanged. The average duration of treatment was 9.3 weeks ; the prospect of relapse is worse here than in chronic inflammation. Changes in position of the uterus, with
more » ... of the uterus, with the exception of slight descent, did not present themselves often. Of seven cases two were cured, three improved, and two unaffected. Flexions of the uterus gave less favorable results. The health of the patients was improved during treatment, but the flexion remained the same.
