The purpose of this study is to develop a scale to be used in determining the occupational professionalism levels of teachers. The study group is comprised of 251 volunteers, who are all teachers working within public schools in Kütahya town center during the 2013-2014 academic year. Exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory (CFA) factor analyses were conducted for structural validity of the scale. ... rsonal Development, Contribution to Organization, Professional Awareness, and Emotional Labor. The scale was comprised of 24 items. CFA revealed a χ2/sd ratio of 2.66. Other goodness for fit indexes calculated by CFA were: GFI=0.82, AGFI=0.78, RMSEA=0.08, RMR=0.05, SRMR=0.08, CFI=0.80, NFI=0.72, NNFI=0.77, PGFI=0.67. As a result, a valid and reliable scale with sufficient psychometric features was developed that could be used to determine the occupational professionalism levels of teachers working in public schools.
