ThispaperinvestigatesreactionmechanismandelectrochemicalbehaviorofZnOthinfilmsdeposited ontransparentconductingglassfrom a simpleaqueouszincnitratesolution.NanocrystallineZnOfilmswithgrain sizesof10 耀15nmareobtainedbycontrollingthegrowthrateofZnO.XRDanalysisdemonstratesthatthe nanocrystallineZnOthinfilmhasphasepurityandwurtzitestructure.Opticalcharacterizationsshowthatsuch filmhashighopticaltransmittance (upto90%)inthevisiblewavelengthrangeanditsbandgapis3.37eV.
