OF PAPER The paper describes the conditions on the system in Toledo which was originally delta-connected. Serious trouble was experienced when a short circuit occurred especially with synchronous apparatus connected to the line which invariably failed due to the voltage drop occasioned by the severe short circuits on the delta system.
