DNA micropatterns have been fabricated on the surface of Polycarbonate (PC) bases of compact discs, with the ultimate goal of using conventional CD technology for DNA analysis. To confirm the formation of -COOH groups on the PC surface upon UV/ ozone treatment, contact angle titrations were carried out on the PC surfaces. The surface morphologies of PC surface were measured by Tapping-mode Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
