Apple is a fruit that is often used as a raw material for making fermented acid drinks commonly referred to as apple vinegar. Apple vinegar is one type of functional beverage. The combination of apple vinegar with honey has been studied previously and is reported to cure diseases such as colds, infections, rheumatism and arthritis.
