On the Problem of Assessment of Consequences of Large-scale Mining of Non-metallic Construction Materials for Surface Water Bodies
2014
Water sector of Russia: problems, technologies, management
Methods of calculation of decreasing of water level due to large-scale mining of non-metallic construction materials have been considered. Comparative analysis of the calculation methods for changing of hydraulic and hydro/chemical indicators in one-, two-, and three-dimensional modes has been done. Estimation of the level decrease has been performed with the Kama River near Perm as a study case. Issues of accumulating of pollutants in borrow cuts have been discussed and simulating of their washing processes has been carried out in 3D mode.
