Factors for efficient use of information and communication technologies influencing sustainable position of service enterprises in Slovakia

The importance of the service sector is constantly increasing. This statement is proved by the development of macroeconomic indicators such as value added and employment in services. Many authors proved that innovation and ICT together with a skilled workforce and with the necessary digital skills are factors of sustainable competitive advantage and of increasing productivity in services. Implementation of basic ICT into the processes of the enterprise may or may not bring competitive advantage to an enterprise or increase its performance. An intention of this article is to identify the factors which influence an efficiency of established ICT in services, also to quantify their contribution to performance and to the sustainable position of service enterprises in Slovakia.
