Transplantation of hematopoetic stem cells obtained from any source (bone-marrow, peripheral blood, umblical cord blood) is a treatment method used not only for hematopoietic system diseases but also for metabolic and immunologic disorders. In addition to early complications of HST, particularly patients who are performed allogenic transplantation are subject to long-term consequences that require life-long follow-up and treatment. This review aims to provide a perspective on the early and late complications of HST and the issues to be considered while evaluating a patient who was performed HST.
