Exposure of cells prepared from lymphosarcoma P1798 to 1 X IGT6 M cortisol for 3 hr produced a significant inhibition of uridine-3H incorporation into RNA (52%) and of leucine-14C into DNA, RNA, and protein is reported. It is concluded that the cortisol-induced decrease in 2-deoxyglucose uptake occurs 350 CANCER RESEARCH VOL. 32 on July 9, 2020.
